These photographs were taken during the celebration on May 6th, 2008. Even if the pictures aren't great, the sentiment indeed is authentic!

Angela Jimenez
Popcorn Chair
Thanks to Angela's dedication our kids have enjoyed Popcorn Fridays.  Angela and her devoted volunteers spend 3 hours EVERY Friday in a popcorn frenzy.  It's something the kids love but a big time commitment.  Thank you Angela!
Guess how many bags of popcorn are popped and distributed in a school year?

Debbie Thibado
Chairperson: Partners in Education Events
Debbie set up some wonderful events this year.  From our old standby Chuck E Cheese (about $250 per event) to new locations like Pizzacato ($650+)and McMennamin's ($1261!!), Debbie helped breathe new life into this volunteer position.  Thank you Debbie!

Colleen McCoy
Co-Chairperson: Partners in Education Events

Thanks to Colleen's efforts we've seen our Easy Money begin rolling in!  Colleen has helped us take advantage of corporate programs like Box Tops ($600+) and the programs sponsored through grocery stores ($1000-$1500 a year).  Wow!  Thanks for helping us find those ways to bring in $ for the school without having a "fundraiser"!  Thank you Colleen!

Judith McLean
Running Program Chair
Track Project Chair

If Judith had a motto, it would be "I can do anything!".

Judith showed us how to get a new idea off the ground and running by rolling up your sleeves and putting your heart into it.

Thanks to Judith's efforts, we have a new track where over 300 kids run each week in the SMART running program.

Thank you Judith!

Taking her cue from Santa, Dawn made her list and checked it twice!  Dawn helped all Sexton Mountain Families this year by putting together a fantastic student directory.  Dawn, thanks for those hours of data entry!

Rebecca Gardner
Movie Ticket Chair
Making it look easy, Rebecca single-handedly collected orders and distributed about 450 movie tickets to our students this year!  Thanks to Rebecca's efforts, our Sexton Mountain families were able to enjoy discount movies on a Saturday afternoon.  Thank you Rebecca!

Marcy Arellano
Bowling Chair
New to the school, Marcy stepped in right away and volunteered to chair our regular Tuesday bowling event.  Thank you Marcy for spreading the word about this easy fundraiser that will raise over $700 this year.

Kathy Munoz
Treasurer
School Supply Chair
Kathy's done a great job as treasurer this year.  Not only has she done the traditional treasurer job she tackled the challenge of transitioning the PTC to using Quickbooks - providing us with easier to understand financial reports.  Kathy must also like to keep busy because she also volunteered to run our School Supply Kits purchase this year.  Thanks to Kathy's efforts, parents can skip running store to store looking for glue sticks -- schools supply kits will be delivered right to their child's classroom next year.  Thank you Kathy!

Atul Mathur
3rd VP (VP-Communications)
Atul pushed us into the Cyber age.  Those of you who enjoy receiving your Tuesday Newsday electronically - give Atul your thank yous!  Atul, thanks for your continued support of the PTC.

Ellen Moll
Science Fair / Enrichment
Anyone who's even a passing acquaintence of Ellen knows that she's passionate about Math and Science.  And she's creative too!  Thanks to Ellen's hard work, our kids will be solving the Case of the Missing Cookies.  (Do you know who did it?).  Thank you Ellen!

Cathy Lamb
Art Fair / Enrichment
Cathy's love of art shines through.  This year, she went the extra mile and found fabulous ways to expose our kids to different types of art while supporting the school's literacy goals.  She even did a diving catch when we had to change artist-in-residence at the last moment.  Cathy's successful after school clubs for creative writing and journaling help make writing a fun activity!  Thanks Cathy for your commitment to bring art and writing into our kids lives!

Patricia Gee
President

Patricia rounded out her years of volunteering by serving as President of the PTC for the last two years.  Patricia has helped ensure that we are responsible with the management of PTC funds and policies, volunteered for too many of our PTC events to count, and in the meantime shared her passion for knitting by leading an afterschool Knitting club.  Patricia, your dedication to the families of Sexton Mountain is appreciated and we thank you!
