Talent Show

Kids can create acts - songs, dances, comedy routines, magic shows, dramatic readings and crazy stunts for a fun-filled night of kid talent!

Family Dance

Twistin the night away! The Family Dance is a favorite around Sexton Mountain. This is the time for kids and adults to put on their dancing shoes and prepare for a night of fun under the disco ball. Rock, country, rap and old time favorites - we play it all... there's something for everybody at the Family Dance!

Book Fair

Twice a year - fall/spring. Scholastic books are available for purchase - kids can find the latest books and fun pencils and toys. Profits from the night go toward pruchasing new books for the library as well as classroom books for students to use and check out.

A family favorite, the carnival is held every spring. With over 20 "midway" games, bounce houses, face painting, delicious carnival treats and more, every member of the family will have fun! Kids can earn tickets at each of the games and redeem for prizes. The carnival brings out the kids in all of us - and it's another great way family and friends come together to have fun and celebrate our SME community.

Field Day

Field Day is our end of year celebration held every June. Mr. Miller, our fabulous PE teacher, coordinates numerous volunteer-led activities and events that kids rotate through for a fun day in the sun. With over 40 activities like parachute, obstacle courses, water games, volleyball and more, kids never get bored - and they get to enjoy a snack with their friends at the end of the action!

Bingo Night

Come join the fun - Bingo night is an inexpensive night out for families! There are plenty of prizes to go around - for both kids and adults! At Bingo night, every child leaves with a prize -  and every parent leaves with a smile!

Walking School Bus

Every Thursday, Mr. Hayhurst, a 1st grade teacher, and parent volunteers walk kids to school. Meet at the Neighborhood Walmart parking lot and walk together as a group. Not only is this is a fun way to meet your neighbors, walking to school also encourages good health, activity and responsibility!
